PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER III #10477 & #12715
Montgomery County Parks of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission has Park Maintenance Worker III positions available in the Southern Region. Responsibilities include the following: perform a variety of specialized tasks and projects such as trimming large trees, and installing chain links. Will operate tractor to rake, and drag athletic fields. Will operate a variety of equipment trucks, tractors with attachments, backhoes. CDL requires within six (6) months of employment. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in grounds keeping, building maintenance, or park maintenance; and demonstrated ability to read and understand materials and instructions and write routine records and reports; Or an equivalent combination of four (4) years of education and experience. Pass Commission medical examination; valid driver's license. Additionally, contingent upon area of assignment, some positions in this class may require: a). Maryland Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator’s certification in the categories appropriate to the work assignment. b). Certification by the National Playground Safety Institute. The Commission offers excellent benefits and competitive salaries. Salary Range: $27,562 - $35,795 (Top of grade $44,028).
