I have a degree in Forestry from a four year
college. I didn't start learning about Arboriculture
and Urban Forestry until right before I graduated.
Since then I have been trying to educate myself as
much as possible while working full-time
as a research associate. I am now an ISA Certified
Arborist. I have taken a course in Plant Appraisal,
and I am looking real hard at Consulting Arboriculture,
but there aren't many people (that I have found)in my
area I can turn to for guidance. Because of my current
job, I can't just up and move to a different area.
Is there anyone out there who might have some helpful
advice? It would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Todd

I'd recomend working for some companies on the weekend and such to get a feel for the industry.

Consulting involves alot of hands on knowledge along with the formal schooling.

There is the ASCA acadamy in Chicogoland this coming February.
