DUTIES: Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates the activities and functions of assigned urban forest operations, programs, and resources within the Public Works Operations and/or Street Operations Divisions under Public Works' responsibility.
REQUIRES: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in urban forestry, forestry, or related field plus at least three (3) years of increasingly responsible supervisory and/or project management work experience directly related to urban forest management activities. A graduate degree in one of the above fields may be substituted for one year of required work experience. Active membership in the Int'l Society of Arboriculture and/or the Society of Municipal Arborists is preferred. Must possess a valid MO Motor Vehicle Operator's License; must obtain and maintain a valid MO Pesticide Applicator's License with Ornamental Turf and/or Right-of-Way Categories, and a valid Int'l Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist Certificate within the probationary period. SALARY: $1,235.20 - $1,690.40 bi-weekly is complete Salary Range. (Starting salary is typically at the beginning of the range depending on individual qualifications and budget authorization.)
